Parker’s gas turbine filtration solutions are specifically designed to handle the harsh local conditions often found in the Middle East region and the Parker business brings benefit to new and existing customers with established strong local presence and support.

Parker’s factory in Dammam has been a huge success, locally producing high-performing inlet filters for gas turbines in both Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Coast region.

The Parker group has always been committed to growing business in Saudi Arabia in line with Saudi’s Vision 2030 plan, calling for the diversification of revenues by capitalising on in-country production and the employment of Saudi nationals.

To achieve this, it partnered with Tamimi Energy, part of the Tamimi Group of Companies, in 2017 to launch a new factory in Dammam. This facility has been a huge success, bringing together best-of-breed solutions from both companies to locally produce high-performing inlet filters for gas turbines in both Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Coast region.

David Tristante, EMEA sales director at Parker, said: “The Parker Gas Turbine Filtration Division has designed filtration solutions to specifically meet the challenges of high levels of dust, moisture and, often, salt in the Middle East region, which can seriously damage performance and reliability of compressors/gas turbines.”

“The Parker name is well known in the region and benefits from the already strong relationships, distribution and service network in place. The combined excellence in technology and support will be a huge benefit to customers in the region.”

At this year’s Middle East Rotating Machinery Technology and Innovation Conference (RoTIC) event in Dubai, Parker showcased its filtration solutions and highlighted how industrial gas turbine operators will see even greater benefit in their use with the local coverage and service excellence the Parker brand is renowned for.
