Leadership Excellence for Women Awards and Symposium to be held in October in Bahrain

OSC’s investment in SPARK and collaboration with Saudi Aramco will position the project as a major enabler for oil and gas manufacturing and service companies and related SMEs

The Leadership Excellence for Women Awards and Symposium (LEWAS) is now in its 5th edition and will be organised alongside MEPEC under the patronage of Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, minister of oil, Kingdom of Bahrain.

LEWAS 2019 will be held with the support and guidance of chairperson Reem Al Ghanim, division head, chemicals, HR and support services, Saudi Aramco, co-chair Ezz Almannai, director, planning and development, National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA), along with an advisory board and committee of 20 inspirational leaders.

LEWAS has always strived to engage, empower and elevate women in the Middle East across the energy sector. It honours the best practices in leadership that have succeeded in bringing a change in different areas whilst developing strategies that initiate the promotion, and establishment of women in the business.

It recognises leaders and innovators who contribute to the development of the region's future and chooses the best among them. There are seven award categories that will recognise and honour a young woman with 3-5 years of experience in an organisation that encourages diversity and inclusion.

Award applications are open till 20 July 2019. The symposium will focus on driving innovation through diversity with motivational speakers who will discuss the challenges and the need for diversity and inclusion.
