Aramco to take distribution centre bids in 2011

$600m contract to include 25-year operation of 400,000 bpd centre

Saudi Aramco is set to tender for bids to contructs a new $600 million distribution centre by the end of the year, according to a report in Saudi newspaper Riyadh.

The contract will include the operation of the 400,000 barrels per day centre for 25 years, after which it will be handed over to Aramco.

The paper, quoting an unnnamed source, reports that the new terminal will be built in the the Shuaibah area 250 km south of Jeddah.
