El Nasr Co for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) entrusted Nuberg in August 2017 the engineering and construction of a hydrogen peroxide plant in Giza, Egypt, from concept to commissioning, with a contract for technology. The $17.76mn turnkey project will manufacture hydrogen peroxide with production capacity of 70 tonnes per day.
In June 2017, Nuberg was chosen by Egyptian Petrochemicals Company as a single-point solution company, from concept to commissioning, for its caustic soda-chlorine plant in Alexandria, Egypt. The contract envisions setting up a turnkey project, having production capacity of 228tpd (tonnes per day) with a provision to expand it to 342tpd in future.
Nuberg won a calcium chloride plant project in September 2016 on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and LSTK basis in Port Said, Egypt, from TCI Sanmar Chemicals. The calcium chloride turnkey project is valued at $20mn.
In March 2016, Nuberg won an EPCM project from Emirates Chemical Factory of Saif Al Khaili Group. The $76mn project envisions to set-up a 150tpd chlor-alkali/caustic chlorine plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi, UAE, which will produce caustic soda, chlorine, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid.

27. Wood Group
Wood Group secured a five year, framework agreement of multi-million dollars in January 2017 to continue to provide engineering and project management services to Saudi Aramco’s onshore capital programmes in Saudi Arabia. The contract also includes three, one-year extension options and will be delivered locally in Saudi Arabia.
In May 2016, Wood Group secured two new, three year contracts, collectively valued at over $140mn, to deliver technical services and expertise to an oil company in Iraq. Wood Group will provide brownfield FEED, detailed engineering, project management, procurement services, system completion and commissioning support for operations and start-up on a significant onshore asset in southern Iraq, under the two contracts.

CB&I announced that it had been awarded a contract by Tecnicas Reunidas in August 2017 for new product storage tanks that will be part of a clean fuels expansion project at Saudi Aramco’s refinery in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. CB&I’s scope includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of nine flat bottom tanks, as well as modifications to numerous existing tanks, all of which were previously supplied by CB&I.
CB&I was awarded a contract in March 2016 for approximately $60mn with Zakum Development Company for the refurbishment of two crude oil storage tanks on Zirku Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

29. Rotary Engineering
ENOC Group signed an agreement in April 2017 with Rotary Engineering to construct 12 new storage tanks as part of its plans to expand the capacity of its Jebel Ali refinery by 50%. The 12 new tanks are designed to meet the latest and highest industry standards to help maintain high product quality throughout the refinery’s logistics chain. The tanks are designed to store jet fuel and naphtha, along with gasoline blend stocks.
Rotary Engineering offers EPC and maintenance services to the oil and gas, petroleum, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
30. Air Liquide
Iran’s NPC signed a deal in August 2017 with Air Liquide for obtaining methane-to-propane process licence. The deal also involves basic engineering of a 500,000 tonnes methane-to-propane plant.
In April 2017, Air Liquide and Orpic signed a long-term agreement for the supply of nitrogen to the Liwa Plastics Industries Complex (LPIC). Investing around $21.27mn to build a nitrogen production unit with a total capacity of 500 tonnes of nitrogen per day, Air Liquide will strengthen its leadership position in a key industrial area to support the growth of its customer Orpic.
