The second phase of Sipchem Safety Transformation for Excellence Project – S-STEP – was launched recently by Ahmad Al-Ohali, CEO, Sipchem.
The S-STEP Phase 2 was unveiled through a signing ceremony attended by Al-Ohali Johan Westhuyzen, regional director, Middle East and Africa, DuPont Sustainable Solutions.
The project’s objective is to reinvigorate the company’s current process safety management system in order to reduce inherent risk within its operations and improve its safety performance.
The project will be chaired by Ibrahim Al-Rushoud and managed by Abdullah Al-Hatlani.
DuPont has been selected to support the project as the company is familiar with Sipchem’s facilities and has been involved in the past on successful initiatives such as the initial design and implementation of Sipchem Process Safety Management System (PSM) and the SMARTO project.
The S-STEP Phase 2 will focus on safety culture transformation, process safety management system and sustainable safety excellence.
The company urged all employees to participate pro-actively in the project and to collaborate with the project team to ensure the success of this strategic initiative.
