The 4th edition of the Middle East Process Engineering Conference (MEPEC 2017) will take place during 9-11 October 2017 at the Bahrain International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, prime minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will host an interesting list of industry initiatives and thought-provoking content where industry leaders will engage in technical conversations to find solutions to current challenges facing process engineering in the region.

MEPEC’s technical sessions will feature four main topics – process design and development, process excellence, sustainability, and downstream integration for value creation. The programme focuses on key priorities for the region, whilst bringing synergy and collaboration between industries. There will be 48 technical presentations delivered by leading regional and international key players, including SABIC, Saudi Aramco, Shell, BAPCO, Tasnee, Honeywell, Sadara Chemical Company, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Rexa Inc, AspenTech, ExxonMobil Chemical, amongst many others.

MEPEC 2017’s conference keynotes will be delivered by key industry players like Ahmad Al Sa’adi (senior vice president, technical services, Saudi Aramco); Ziad Al-Labban (CEO, Sadara Chemical Company); Guy Lewis (vice president, strategic marketing and planning, UOP, a Honeywell company); Jonathan Forbes Lane (general manager, EMEAR, CRI Criterion Catalyst Co Ltd); David Bergeron (vice president, ExxonMobil Catalysts and Licensing LLC); Dr Tobias Scheele (senior vice president, software, Schneider Electric); Fuad Mosa (general manager, local content unit innovation and business development, SABIC); Zak Alzein (vice president and general manager, Connected Performance Services, Honeywell UOP); and Ed Boufarah (vice president, digital solutions, MEA and India, Baker Hughes, a GE company), amongst many others.

Also, for the first time, three co-located events will be taking place alongside MEPEC – the Leadership Excellence for Women Awards and Symposium; the Middle East Fine and Specialty Chemicals Conference and Exhibition; and the Middle East Process Safety Conference and Exhibition.

Combining, these four events makes for an unmissable, world-class networking event for visitors, delegates, investors, and government related organisations.
