UAE's Borouge demonstrated its portfolio of plastics products and services at the 15th International African-Arabian Exhibition for Plastics Industry (Plastex 2016).

The event was held at Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Egypt from 14-17th January 2016.

Showcasing a wide range of application samples made of Borouge's innovative polyolefin technology, the company's stand attracted a large number of major plastics manufacturers, converters and end users in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.

Amongst its main products on display were Borouge's latest polyethylene and polypropylene solutions for pipes, wires & cables, films and fibres.

“It’s important for Borouge to participate at this significant exhibition which becomes an important venue for Borouge to reinforce its relation and partnership with its customers in Egypt and the whole MENA region and develop new business opportunities in this part of the world,” said Wim Roels, CEO of Borouge Pte Ltd.

“PLASTEX is a prominent business gathering where we could meet with the key players of the MENA plastics industry to exchange perspectives and expertise and strengthen our market position as a partner of choice for our customers in this region.”

Borouge recently increased the capacity of its plant in Abu Dhabi from 2mn to 4.5mn with the view to improve its offerings and grow its role on the market.
