Oman's refinery output rises 2.2% in 2015

Total production of refined and petroleum products in Oman rose 2.2% to 49mn barrels in the first seven months of 2015 compared to the same period the year before, new figures have shown.

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), regular petrol production dropped 32% to 1.41mn barrels from 2.07mn the year before, while premium petrol reached 13.21mn barrels, up 5.7% from 12.49mn barrels a year ago.

In the months up to August 2015, Oman produced a total of 2.88mn barrels of jet fuel, an increase of 4.5% and 12.44mn barrels of diesel, up 13%.

Meanwhile, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production dropped 2.8% to 2.1mn barrels from 2.17mn barrels for the same period a year ago.
